In this tutorial we will guide you on how to install Odoo 13 on Ubuntu 22.04.
Let us start the installation.
Atleast 2 GB of memory(RAM)
A user with sudoer privileges.
2 Updating the system
Before we proceed with the installation we need to update our system first.
sudo apt update -y && apt upgrade -y
3 Installing Python 3.8
The default Python version in Ubuntu 22.04 is Python 3.10.4 and this version is not compatible with some of Odoo 13 modules so we need to install Python 3.8 to solve this issue.
To install Python 3.8 first install software properties common.
sudo apt install software-properties-common -y
Add the deadsnakes/ppa repository.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:deadsnakes/ppa -y
Then update the system.
sudo apt update
Now install Python 3.8.
sudo apt install python3.8
Verify if the installation was successful.
4 Installing the Dependencies
Let us install the needed system dependencies to run Odoo properly.
